Work Journey: From Intern to Manager My journey in the workforce began as an intern at a small marketing agency during my sophomore year of college. It was a great opportunity for me to gain hands-on experience and put into practice what I had learned in the classroom. After completing my internship, I was offered a full-time position as a Marketing Coordinator. This role allowed me to further develop my skills in digital marketing, social media management, and event coordination. I enjoyed the fast-paced nature of the job and the opportunity to work on multiple projects simultaneously. While working as a Marketing Coordinator, I enrolled in a Master's program in Marketing and Advertising. My coursework helped me gain a deeper understanding of marketing strategy and consumer behavior, which I was able to apply in my work. Eventually, I was promoted to Marketing Manager, where I led a team of three marketing coordinators. In this role, I worked closely with upper management to develop and execute marketing campaigns that helped to drive sales and increase brand awareness. I was responsible for developing marketing strategies across various channels, including social media, email, and paid advertising. After several years in the marketing industry, I decided to switch gears and pursue a career in project management. I was able to leverage my marketing experience to land a job as a Project Manager at a software development company. In this role, I oversaw the delivery of software projects, working closely with developers, designers, and stakeholders to ensure successful project completion. Throughout my career journey, I have learned the importance of adaptability, communication, and continuous learning.
