Journey to Becoming a Writer Becoming a writer has been a dream of mine since I was a child. I used to fill up notebooks with stories and poems, imagining myself one day being a published author. However, as I got older, life got in the way and my dream was put on hold. It wasn't until a few years ago that I decided to take the leap and pursue writing seriously. The journey hasn't been easy. I've had to navigate self-doubt, rejection, and the challenges of finding time to write while juggling a full-time job and other responsibilities. But I've also experienced the joys of creating something from nothing, the satisfaction of seeing my words in print, and the support of fellow writers and readers. One of the biggest hurdles I faced was finding my own voice. I spent a lot of time trying to emulate the writing styles of authors I admired, but it always felt forced and unauthentic. It wasn't until I let go of that and started writing from my own perspective and experiences that I found my voice and my writing began to improve. Another challenge was learning to handle rejection. I've had countless rejections from literary agents and publishers, and it can be discouraging. But I've learned to see rejection as a learning opportunity rather than a defeat. Each rejection teaches me something new and helps me improve my craft. Despite the obstacles, I'm grateful for the journey.
